Web3 for Creators Workshop
The goal of this workshop is to demystify Web3 and the blockchain as a content destination for Creators.
When it comes to creating content on the blockchain you often hear the phrase:
“Do your own due diligence and research.”
But what does that mean exactly? Where should you go to begin your research? Everywhere you turn there seem to be more questions than there are answers. Join this workshop to learn the basics to get started creating content on the blockchain.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
PART ONE: The first three hours are the education component to demystify the blockchain as a content creation destination. You will learn what the blockchain has to offer content creators.
PART TWO: The last hour will be for those who are ready to become blockchain content creators. They will create their accounts and share their very first introduction post.
- Why is the blockchain a great place for creators?
- How can creators benefit from the blockchain?
- What do I do to join a blockchain?
- Is the blockchain a safe place for me as a content creator?
- Who owns my content on the blockchain?
- How do rewards work on the blockchain?
The education portion of this workshop will happen in the first three hours. In the last hour of this workshop, participants will create their accounts on the blockchain.
There will be a one-hour Q&A session on Friday, January 20th, to answer any follow-up questions.
Workshop participants will have access to the Blockchain Creators server on Discord where they can continue the conversation with other workshop participants.
Jennifer Navarrete is an early adopter and pioneer in the podcasting and social media space. She is a 16+ year podcast producer, a virtual event producer, an award-winning social media strategist, and a community builder.
In August 2017, she heard about blockchain blogging. After giving it a try by creating four posts, Jennifer walked away. This changed in March 2021 when she took a second look at the blockchain as a content destination. She quickly realized it was a place where creators could own their content and reap the rewards from that content. This awareness caused her to go all into creating content on the blockchain. You could say she has become a blockchain content creation enthusiast.
Jennifer hosts the micro-podcast Social Media and the Blockchain, Podcasting and the Blockchain, Blockchain Creators community + weekly Twitter Spaces show, and co-hosts the Crypto Content Creators. You can find her on Web 2 and Web 3 under the username @epodcaster.
